Maintenance of Small Electric MotorsSmall motors usually operate with so little trouble that they are apt to be neglected. They should be thoroughly inspected twice yearly to detect wear and to remove any conditions that might lead to further wear. Special care must be taken to inspect motor bearings, cutouts, and other wearing parts. Make sure that dirt and dust are not interfering with ventilation or clogging moving parts.
