Xilinx PicoBlaze Microcontroller
Xilinx PicoBlaze MicrocontrollerPicoBlaze is an eight-bit soft-core microcontroller developed by Xilinx. The specific core to be used in this book is called KCPSM6, which is suitable for the Xilinx Artix-7 FPGAs. PicoBlaze documentation and files can be downloaded from [34] as file KCPSM6_Release9_30Sept14.zip. We will next analyze functional blocks of PicoBlaze. Then, we will explore how it can be used in connection with Verilog and VHDL descriptions.
