Partial Condenser with Vapor DistillateThe operating pressure strategy is analyzed in two case studies that involve a de-ethanizer column. The first case study shows how the pressure operating strategy can differ depending on product specifications. The second case study identifies the operating pressure strategy in a case where the value of one product is significantly higher than the other. In both cases, a rigorous simulation model of both column and condenser is adopted to reproduce the key behavior of the condenser in this type of column. The condenser has constant area and heat transfer coefficient.
