GENERAL This chapter discusses methods that will protect the environment from an accidental spill or direct release of select volatile liquids. The treatment that eliminates or reduces the effluent to acceptable limits prior to either discharge or disposal is discussed. Some liquids are generated by industrial activity, and others exist in their natural state by the nature of their intended purpose.
