He has contributed to over 600 publications, is editor of ASCE's Journal of Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste and past vice-chair of the editorial bBoard of WEF's Water Environment Research Journal, and serves on numerous industry committees and boards.

Tian C. Zhang, Ph.D., P.E., BCEE, F.ASCE is Professor of Environmental Engineering at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln. He has published more than 120 peer-reviewed journal papers, 72 book chapters, and 14 books since 1994. Dr. Zhang is the associate editor of the Journal of Environmental Engineering (since 2007) and the Journal of Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (since 2006), and the managing editor of Water Environment Research Journal (since 2008).

Satinder Kaur Brar, Ph.D. is a professor at the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (Centre Eau Terre Environnement; INRS-ETE) in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. She is editor-in-chief of the journal Nanotechnology for Environmental Engineering and associate editor of two journals of international repute. Dr. Brar has more than 350 research publications, including 5 books, 40 book chapters, and 190 original research journal papers.

Krishnamoorthy Hegde, Ph.D. is a researcher at the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (Centre Eau Terre Environnement; INRS-ETE) in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. His research interests lie in the development of advanced biosensors for environmental applications, treatment of emerging contaminants in wastewater and drinking water, microbial/biocatalytic degradation of petroleum crude wastes (bioremediation), green synthesis of functionalized polymers, and conversion of biomass waste and industrial waste into biofuels and other value-added products.

Rama Pulicharla, Ph.D. is a researcher at the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (Centre Eau Terre Environnement; INRS-ETE) in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Her research interests include development and application of hybrid advanced bio/chemical oxidation treatments for degradation of emerging contaminants in wastewater and wastewater sludge.

Mausam Verma, Ph.D. is working as a scientist-engineer at CO2 Solutions Inc. in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. He has been involved in developing economical processes for the production of biofuels, fermentation, and high-value biomolecules from various biomass feedstocks; the treatment of textile wastewater; and the application of phytoremediation and bioremediation techniques for the cleaning of contaminated sites. Dr. Verma has more than 150 research publications, including 3 books, 30 book chapters, and 120 original research journal papers.
