SURGE PROTECTION
Vivek Johri M. Mohana Rao An electrical surge is a transient over-voltage occurring in electrical networks. It is a voltage wave characterised by steeply rising voltage (wave front) followed by slowly decaying voltage (wave tail). A standard 1.2/50 μS impulse voltage wave is an example of a surge voltage. The electrical network and equipment connected with it are subjected to external and internal surges. 1010603
