JSF Portlets
JSF PortletsThis appendix provides some practical reference material for developing JSF portlets. It explains the terminology used in discussing portlets, serves as a guide to selecting a JSF Portlet Bridge, and explains how to integrate JSF portlets with the main features provided by the JSR 168 (Portlet 1.0) and JSR 286 (Portlet 2.0) standards. Special attention is focused on ICEfaces portlets, and the benefits provided by ICEfaces Partial Submit and ICEfaces Ajax Push. Finally, this appendix shows how to use several of the features provided by PortletFaces, an open source project that provides close integration between JSF and Liferay Portal.
