Example: An Arduino Shield
10116011031800 Example: An Arduino ShieldIn this chapter, you will learn how to use EAGLE to design a plug-in shield for the popular Arduino microcontroller board. The design will use a mixture of SMDs and through-hole devices. By following this example, you will learn how to design your own Arduino shields. The example developed is for a four-digit, seven-segment LED display with a few extras in the form of a real-time clock chip, a piezo buzzer, and a rotary encoder. The shield could be used by those experimenting with making their own alarm clock or timer of some kind.
