Master Production Scheduling TechniquesThis section presents the basic logic for master production scheduling. We start with the time-phased record to show relationships between production output, the "forecast" (derived from the sales and operations plan), and expected inventory balance. We then show how plans are revised as you roll through time during a review cycle. Finally, we present the process for promising delivery to customers.
