CONCEPTS AND DEFINITIONSEngineering ethics can be defined as the set of common standards of conduct, and professional dimensions, shared by engineering professionals, promoting responsible practice as one of its goals. Other goals include providing a framework for critical analysis and understanding of the evolutionary process in the profession of engineering. This is particularly important when considering the non-technical and contemporary topics affecting engineers and their profession.
