Transient Stability Problem in a Simple Electrical Network
1010603Transient Stability Problem in a Simple Electrical NetworkIn this chapter we solve a stability problem in a simple electrical network composed of a generator feeding an ideal infinity bus by way of two parallel transmission lines. First we use the equal-area criterion of stability to determine the critical power angle, and then we solve the swing equation using a numerical solver to determine the time it takes for the increasing power angle to reach the critical power angle.
