Project Management and Software Engineering
<emphasis role="bold">Introduction</emphasis> Project management is a weak link in the software engineering chain. It is also a weak link in the academic education curricula of many universities. More software problems and problems such as cost and schedule overruns can be attributed to poor project management than to poor programming or to poor software engineering practices. Because poor project management is so harmful to good software engineering, it is relevant to a book on best practices.
