Use Hypothesis to hold discussions, read socially, organize your research, and take personal notes on any web page or PDF.

1. Click "Open Hypothesis" to open the Hypothesis sidebar.
2. Sign up for or log into your free Hypothesis account.
3. Select some text and start annotating.
4. Select whether to keep your annotations private, share with a specific group, or share publicly.
5. Note: Viewing highlights and annotations within AccessEngineering is “off” by default. Click the “eye” icon at the left side of the hypothesis sidebar to show highlights inside AccessEngineering.

Annotations require a separate Hypothesis account and are not part of your AccessEngineering user account.
